Open in current directory (pwd) by default?

Is there a reason why vifm, when spawned from a directory, open the last active directory instead of the current one? How can I change this behavior?

Without any settings it opens in current directory, but sample vifmrc sets 'vifminfo' option to include savedirs option. Not changing 'vifminfo' you can open in current directory with

vifm . .

If you want to open in PWD by default, then alter 'vifminfo' value in vifmrc' to not include savedirs.

Thanks. Note to others: You can get one pane to display the current directory, and the other paneto display the last saved directory by typing only one dot (.):
