How do you customize how mtime is displayed in columnview?

I changed viewcolumns to: set viewcolumns=-{name}..,{mtime},6{} in the vifmrc to display the time modified. When I launched vifm it displayed the column in the format mm/dd hh:mm. I'd prefer the format yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm. I went looking around for information on how to format the date and I couldn't find anything. Can this be done and if so how?

It's possible, you just need to set 'timefmt' option (docs):

set timefmt='%Y-%m-%d %H:%M'
