issue with viewcolumns

This is what I set for viewcolumns:

set timefmt=%y%m%d-%H%M%S
set viewcolumns=-{root}..,-8{ext}..,14{mtime},7{}.

It was working fine till today, and then something happened and the left pane is showing this now:

Is there any additional setting to change the view of the columns?

It seems sorting affects the columns view. Is it possible to also customize it for each sorting?

It is sorting, but it can't be synchronized to columns automatically.

If you would like to make a bug report or feature request consider using GitHub, SourceForge or e-mail. Posting such things here is acceptable, but this is not a perfect place for them.
